Leadership Development
For 3 years I have been working with the Core Leadership Group of a leading National Rugby League Team and the First Grade Coach developing leadership thinking and focusing on leadership characteristics.
A leadership template is used which is generic to all sports whether it is a team or an individual. The development of the leader within the individual is the prime focus and creates a desire to lead increasing the level of influence with team mates around them both on and off the football field.
The number one characteristic to lead is influence - follow me.
This process is one on one and having an outside influence who is respected as a leader results in a change in thinking – if your thinking doesn’t change nothing changes and in professional sport mental preparation is as important as physical preparation.
